                LIFE OVERSEAS - THE GOOD THE BAD THE FUNNY

 

             For almost twenty years ... my husband and I have lived in Africa (1997-2010) and SE Asia (2010-2016.) We've had the privilege of traveling extensively as well. 

       We've been to the top of the Jungfrau in Switzerland, enjoyed Paris in the spring, went to a "Birds of Prey" show in Germany,  ate real Italian pizza in Italy, attempted to dance the Viennese waltz in Vienna, thoroughly enjoyed Prague,  went to a Christmas market in Hungary,  visited the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China, saw windmills in Holland, toured a slave island (horrific) and zip-lined high up in baobab trees in Africa; and visited more castles and palaces than I can remember. I sand surfed as well as rode a camel in the United Arab Emirates, saw a volcano in Guatemala, visited a safe house in Burma, pet a tiger and rode an elephant in SE Asia, and the list goes on and on ...

       We've also experienced tear gas, had evacuation lists up on our bedroom walls, saw a thief tortured, been robbed ten times, experienced a fist fight on a plane, hubby got caught in a coup, had malaria, experienced 3rd world hospitals, lost national friends to death, and that list goes on and on too ....

        This book tells it all - the good, the bad and even the funny. I sincerely hope you enjoy this book as well as getting a glimpse of overseas workers' worlds. Elisabeth
